Happy New Year!
The Raleigh-Triangle PowerShell Users Group had a fantastic year in 2018. We had enormous growth and were able to attract an all-star line-up of speakers all year long. As we get underway in 2019, I am proud to announce that we're starting off the new year continuing that trend with another great topic and speaker.
Please join us January 2nd at 8:30 pm as we kick off a new year with Brandon Olin! Brandon will be talking about Infrastructure Testing with Pester.
Pester is a tool that was created to test PowerShell code and is now part of the default install on Windows 10 and Server 2016. The Pester tool reads specifically written test scripts and, in a nutshell, gives you a green/red output to indicate if various tests have passed. Brandon has expanded that idea by writing tests not just foo testing software code but to test the infrastructure itself.
Brandon is a Cloud Architect focusing on automation, configuration management, and monitoring and all things cloud. He is well known in the PowerShell community and has several opensource tools that he either maintains or has authored. He is also an accomplished writer and speaker and in general a big supporter of the OpenSource and DevOps communities. You can find out more about Brandon at his blog and you can follow him on twitter .
Please follow the link below to sign-up for the meeting. Attending is easy, as this is an online meeting. The link for the meeting will be posted to all RTPSUG members and there is no cost to join our group. We meet twice a month to discuss all things PowerShell and focus on helping members solve problems and get connected with the larger PowerShell community.
