I'd like to invite my readers to come join me as I host a presentation on November 7th at 8:30 pm by Steve Valdinger about creative ways to use Toast Notifications in Windows 10. Yes, you read that right!!! Those pop-up alerts that appear in the lower right-hand corner of your PC will be our topic of discussion this month!!!
This presentation is one of the many talks that my PowerShell user group presents every month. we talk all things PowerShell with topics large and small from beginner to deep dive. Every meeting we host has a virtual meeting link for people who cannot attend in person. In fact, this meeting on Nov 7th is a "virtual only" meeting held entirely online!
The Raleigh Triangle PowerShell users group meets twice monthly (1st and 3rd Wednesday of month). You can all the details on our group here: RTPSUG user group. Join our group's meetup page (it's free) and you'll get notified of each meeting. We also share the remote links via Meetup as well. You can read more about my user group here: RTPSUG - THE START OF VIRTUAL MEETINGS!
So what's this month's meeting about?
The toast notification tool is Microsoft's way of alerting you to important information in real time. Stephen Valdinger will be showing you ways to use the rich alerting capabilities of the Toast Notification system to keep you up to date and notify on things that you may have not thought about before! He'll be showcasing different ways to produce notifications using the BurntToast PowerShell module by Josh King, as well as how to accomplish things with pure .Net classes. This is not your everyday presentation on simple alerting.
The link for this meeting will be posted the day of the meeting to people who have RSVP'ed yes to this event. The event will be recorded and posted on YouTube afterward.
