[RTPSUG Meeting] Configuring PSRemoting security and logging

November 04, 2019 0 Comments Community, RTPSUG, PS-Remoting, Event Logs

Please join me Wednesday November 6th for a discussion on a PowerShell core concept: PSRemoting

I am proud to be presenting about the major pieces of PowerShell remoting. This talk will focus on security and logging along with a discussion about convincing your InfoSec team that remoting is safe to use.

I have spent a considerable amount of time over the last year learning and configuring remoting for my previous employer. I was asked to prove that I knew how remoting worked and what were the right settings to keep my employer at the time safe. This talk is a summary of information that I have learned and the things I needed to win those battles with InfoSec teams. For those not familiar, I am an Active Directory Engineer at Fortune 20 company and I rely on remoting for most of my work during the day.

Join me for a walk-through on all the major pieces involved in PowerShell remoting and use remoting safely and securely. As always, our group is open to anyone who would like to learn more about PowerShell.
